Learning Commands by Using Tooltips
When you move the pointer over a control in Final Cut Pro, a small box called a tooltip
appears with a description of the control. Next to the description is the keyboard shortcut
for using the control. You can turn tooltips off and on in the General tab of the User
Preferences window.
This tooltip appears
when the pointer
is over the Play button
in the Viewer.
To turn on tooltips in Final Cut Pro
1 Choose Final Cut Pro > User Preferences.
2 In the General tab, select Show Tooltips.
Customizing the Interface
Final Cut Pro allows you to customize the interface in several ways. You can rearrange
windows and move them to suit your needs and work style or you can use various window
layouts provided by Final Cut Pro. You can also position the Dock in the Mac OS X interface
so that it takes up less room or is hidden.
