Replacing the Battery

1 Remove the top cover of the battery holder. You may need to use a small screwdriver and

insert it into the notch on the side of the cover to gently pop the cover off.

2 Remove the old battery, noting the orientation of the positive and negative ends of the battery.

3 Insert the new lithium battery, with the positive and negative ends in the correct orientation.

Important Do not touch the screwdriver to any part of the main logic board.

To replace the battery, remove the top cover of the

battery holder. You may need to use a small

screwdriver inserted into the notch on the side

of the cover to gently pop the cover off. Be sure

not to touch the screwdriver to any part of

the main logic board.

Important Batteries contain chemicals, some of which may be harmful to the environment.

Please dispose of used batteries according to your local environmental guidelines.

Important Installing the battery incorrectly may cause an explosion. Use only the same

type of battery or an equivalent battery recommended by the manufacturer. For more

information, contact an Apple-authorized service provider or Apple.
