iMac G5 (17-inch iSight) Take Apart — CPU Fan

Remove the CPU Fan

Disconnect the CPU fan cable from the logic board.

Lif the CPU fan straight up to remove it from three mounting posts.

Replace the CPU Fan

Align the CPU fan with the three mounting posts in the rear housing, and push it straight

down onto the posts.

Connect the CPU fan cable to the logic board connector.

Replace the speakers.

Replace the display panel.

Replace the lower EMI shield.

Replace the front bezel.

Replace the access door.
