two PC Card slots, and you can send
and receive e-mail and faxes, and
connect to the Internet or an intranet.
You can even pair the MessagePad
2100 with your cellular phone or wire-
less modem, and connect from
virtually anywhere.
The software allows Internet/intranet
access via modem or an Ethernet or
LocalTalk local area network.
In terms of speed, the StrongARM
processor in the MessagePad 2100
allows it to run incredibly fast com-
pared to other handheld computers.
The large backlit screen displays
sharp graphics in 16 levels of gray at
100 dots per inch.
And the internal microphone and
speaker allow you to record and play
back voice notes.
The MessagePad 2100 includes
Newton Connection Utilities for your
Windows or Mac OS–based computers.
It lets you synchronize as well as
import and export data for use with
most popular personal computer
software programs, and make backups.
